A Commons for the Future
The Social Purpose Exchange (SPE) acts as the "connective tissue" between the visionary energy of future leaders and the real-world experience of today’s industry titans. This is the global forum where the conversation moves beyond the balance sheet to build a legacy of shared prosperity.

Who We Are
The digital commons for purposeful innovation and industrial change.
From the lab benches of universities to the boardrooms of the world’s most vital industrial sectors, we curate the "how-to conversations" of sustainable change.
We are a multi-stakeholder ecosystem of leaders, visionaries, and pragmatists who believe the world has reached a pivotal inflection point. The Social Purpose Exchange (SPE) was founded to serve as the "connective tissue" in a fractured landscape. We sit at the intersection of high-level policy and grassroots breakthroughs, uniting the vision of future leaders (students) with the pragmatic experience of current industry titans.

Meet our Founder
Faith Goodman
Faith Goodman is a visionary Macro-Systems Architect and a global expert on Corporate Purpose: deploying "ecosystems within ecosystems thinking" to illuminate solutions for the world’s most profound structural challenges. As the creator of the proprietary VeriStell Way, Faith is pioneering a fundamentally new economic architecture —one that shatters institutional silos to seamlessly connect ecosystems via AI. The model aims to redefine the contract between Business in Society to more ably drive Societal and Shareholder value.
With over 40 years of bridging public and private sectors, Faith is an operational trailblazer who envisions engineering systems change at unprecedented scale. As CEO of the Goodman Sustainability Group and Founder of the VeriStell Institute—a global think-tank, she convenes Forums and Pilot Projects urging the linking economy-wide sustainability action.
Faith’s unparalleled capacity to architect these never-before-tried solutions is rooted in her hardcore operational reality. Drawing on decades of deep Energy Sector executive experience—including at Suncor Energy—she possesses a formidable understanding of complex infrastructure and the Energy Transition. Having led intricate Refining Sector OECD climate benchmarking and large-scale renewable projects, she knows precisely how to link macro-policy mandates to enterprise execution. This unique lens led to her firm to be selected as the preferred supplier for the Canadian Chamber of Commerce’s SME Institute on SME sustainability solutions.
Her expertise in promoting the rewiring of structural barriers is recognized by global institutions. Faith contributes to the OECD, IFC-World Bank’s SME Finance Forum Americas Advisory Committee and as their Sustainability Judge for the last two years. She also contributes to the International Chamber of Commerce. Faith recently testified as an expert witness on Sustainable Finance before a Canadian Parliamentary Committee. Since 2022, Faith inspires future leaders as a Sustainability MBA mentor and speaker for the University of Toronto’s Rotman LEADS program.
Crucially, Faith has a proven track record of actually de-risking complex, multi-stakeholder ecosystems. Focusing on the “S” in ESG, she founded the RBC award-winning charity Until The Last Child. Navigating complex public-private partnerships with the Manitoba Government and Indigenous leaders, Faith became one of an elite cadre globally to successfully co-launch a Social Impact Bond.
Armed with a BSc, BEd, and MBA from the University of Toronto, an LSE Sustainability Certificate, alongside the ICD.D and Canadian Securities Institute designations, Faith is uniquely skilled to pilot, scale and operationalize the inclusive global ecosystems of tomorrow – driven by AI and unlikely partnerships!
To be the global commons for social purpose—a curated digital environment where the defining question of our time, "What is your legacy beyond the balance sheet?", is answered through collaborative action. We envision a future where global commerce is synonymous with societal thriving, driven by a frictionless exchange of ideas across all five heavy-lift sectors.
Vision

To accelerate the energy transition by convening measured, positive, and sector-specific dialogues that move the ball forward. We bridge the gap between policy and practice, ensuring that the innovations buried in incubator labs reach the CEOs who can scale them, and that the challenges of industry are met with the fresh perspective of the next generation.
Mission

Our community is built on a "Social Contract" designed for progress, rooted in the principle of Measured Optimism where every dialogue is curated to focus on tangible solutions rather than grievances. We thrive on Intergenerational Synergy and economy-wide conversations, honoring the "tough ball" currently carried by industry titans while simultaneously empowering the future leaders who will inherit and scale these results. This mission is anchored in Sectoral Integration, recognizing that the energy transition is a shared heavy lift where success in mining, energy, agriculture, advanced manufacturing / auto, construction, and manufacturing is inherently interdependent. Above all, we champion Purpose-Driven Innovation, prioritizing pragmatic breakthroughs that are not only profitable but profoundly valuable to the world—fostering a legacy of resilience, regeneration, and shared prosperity.
